Towards the end of the British triumph of Halidon Hill, King E appoints Stephen of Pembury the Parent Guard of the newly captured town of Berwick. To cement this triumph, he requests Stephen to wed the beaten Scottish commander’s child, the Woman Joselyn p Velt Seton.
