Description

The Hon. Phryne Fisher, languid and somewhat bored in the beginning of 1929, is involved to discover when the vintage-store boy of the Pre-Raphaelite design has died by murder or suicide. He's a Balkan adventuress - some unusual buddies, a dilettante with a penchant for antiquities, a professor, a method and a supplier who arries at night on the motorcycle. At the same time frame she's requested to find out the destiny of the missing illegitimate child of the wealthy old woman, for the apparent dislike of the rest of the relatives.   With the aid of her cousin Beth, the cab-drivers Bert and Cec and actually her two adoptive kids, Phryne uses spooky prospects which consider her into peculiar place, such as the conquest of Jerusalem by General Allenby and the Australian Light Horse, kif smokers, nature books, sailing treasure maps and spirits.
