Molly Meagher (that’s MaHAR, not MEEger, thanks!) is just a sixtyish “recovering lawyer” having a feeling of experience and a good mouth. A bit of Kinsey Millhone, some Miss Marple and lots OF Stephanie Plum, Molly has retreated to the North Woods of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to recuperate from the near-fatal assault with a client’s furious ex-spouse, where in actuality the peace and quiet and easy life helps her cure. Firebombed and bothered with a property salesperson attempting to obtain her out, till she gets shot at. Her life is further complicated by way of a hunky FBI agent who discusses her like a primary suspect, in addition to the shock appearance of the sibling she hasn’t observed in years, who suggests to reside with Molly while she dies of melanoma and pursuit of the boy she lost to cultural services.
