Sue Hua simply transferred from racially varied Dallas to some suburban white-bread community where she feels as though the only real Asian-American for kilometers. Then she meets Andy, a fine and enthusiastic cello person who is actually Asian-American. Sue feels an immediate attraction to Andy, and her bright friends believe they’re “made for every other”–after all, right, they both use chopsticks and eat lots of grain? But there’s only one issue.
