Description

Venetian policeman, Commissario Guido Brunetti, miracles whom he knows to create pressure on an area government office, to research the possible lack of established building acceptance on his condo. Nevertheless when that same standard telephones him at the office, clearly frightened by some info he plans to provide Brunetti, and is later found dead following a fall from scaffold, something is clearly wrong, something with much greater ramifications compared to destiny of Guido's own condo. Brunetti's investigations take him in to the different regions of Venetian life - drug misuse and loan sharking - as the fatalities of two young drug addicts, and the arrest and release of the suspected drug dealer, expose, once more, exactly what a difference it creates in Venice to possess 'Friends in High Places'.
