Description

On the depressing night in the earlier millennium, an unnamed writer in Venice, California, replies a mad beating at his beach bungalow entrance and again confesses Constance Rattigan into his existence. An aging, once-glamorous Hollywood celebrity, Constance is working in fear from anything she dares not recognize -- and disappears as suddenly as she appeared, making the narrator two macabre publications: double entries of the Tinseltown dead and soon-to be dead, with Constance's title included one of them. And thus begins an odyssey as dark because it is marvelous, whilst the author sparks in a broken-down jalopy together with his irascible partner Crumley to sort through the ashes of a bygone Hollywood -- a graveyard of spirits and strategies where each sprained street results in harsh shrines and shattered dreams, and, frequently, to death.
