The town of Treasure is in danger once more, because it is kept hostage by the scary Fugleman, his group of Fortunate Parents, and an army of merciless mercenaries. There is no question that Goldie and Toadspit would like to get their town back, but just how can a little number of kids combat these overwhelming forces of evil? And how, as Goldie is decided, may they prevent bloodshed in a battle that may set trickery against troopers, and robbers and fraud against a great cannon that shoots cannonballs bent on destruction? Her hardest task must be faced by Goldie however, as Toadspit fights the Fugleman in a duel to the death.
