Underneath the direction of famous traveler Porter Rock, an archaeological group is secretly trying to find the grave of an old pharaoh who had been unlike every other ever. Rock thinks he's discovered the burial chamber of King Narmer, the near mythological god- king who united upper and lower Egypt in 3200 B.C., and the archaeologist has cause to think the best reward of all—Narmer’s crown—might be buried with him. No crown of an Egyptian master has actually been found, and Narmer’s may be the evasive “double” crown of both Egypts, allegedly pos­sessed of amazing forces. The search itself is found in among the most forbidding places on earth—the Sudd, a nearly  dense swamp in north­ern Sudan.
