Ambitious cartoonist Nate Wright may be the superstar of Large Nate, the daily and Sunday comic-strip written by Newspaper Enterprise Association since 1991. Nate is eleven yrs old, four-and-a-half feet high, and the all-time record-holder for detentions in college history. He is a self described wizard and sixth-grade Renaissanceman. Designed with merely a #2 pencil and the unique belief he is #1, Nate fights a regular struggle against overzealous academics, undercooked cafeteria food and all around conventionality.
