In June 2005, Liz Seccurois world turned inverted when she received an apology letter from the person who'd raped her twenty two years earlier. The rape, which happened when she was a seventeen-year-old freshman at the University of Virginia, was reported to the campus police, but their query led nowhere. The person accused of raping her left the college right after, and Seccuro attempted to place the event behind her, beginning a household and a company, but like all children of stress, the storage was never not even close to the letter brought it all back. Seccuro bravely started an email communication with her rapist to attempt to know very well what happened, and why.
