Gathered listed here are two of L'Amouris traditional novellas, both offering enigmatic gunfighter Lance Kilkenny. "The Rider of Lost Creek" was initially printed in a journal like a novella, subsequently, almost thirty years later, extended by L'Amour to book length. As it was first written by L'Amour, this book provides, for the first time ever in publication, the initial edition. "A Guy Called Trent" was also created originally as a novella, simply to be broadened a long time later.
