Description
Among seven children of a higher-ranking government official, Loung Ung lived a blessed life in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh before age of five. Subsequently, in April 1975, Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge army stormed in to the town, making Ung's family to flee and, fundamentally, to distribute. Loung was educated as a young child soldier in a work-camp for orphans, her siblings were delivered to labour camps, and people who survived the disasters wouldn't be reunited before Khmer Rouge was ruined. Harrowing yet optimistic, Loungis effective tale is definitely an account of the household shaken and broken, yet amazingly suffered by bravery and love-in the facial skin of unspeakable violence.
