Description

July 1991. In a blistering Nyc apartment, several Euro émigrés collects around the deathbed of an artisan called Alik, a character beloved by all of them, particularly the ladies who take turns nursing him as he ends out of this globe. Their recollections of the desperate person and of the lives in Spain are punctuated by squabbles and discussions: many Whom did Alik love? Must he be baptized before he dies, as his alcoholic wife, Nina, frantically desires, or be reconciled to the religion of his delivery with a rabbi who is actually available?
