Description

Being a person in the North Cascades Smokejumpers, Alexia Allen usually protects the gear that keeps her safe. Then when she almost dies in a fire because of gear malfunction, she knows something is up. Requested to take some time off as the investigation proceeds, Alexia makes a last minute choice to recover at her mom's house and attend her senior school reunion. However difficulty appears to be pursuing her, and within hours of coming home she is associated with homicide, arson--and a fine investigator.
