Description

Against his character and his will, the hulking Gordon Rankin ("Rank") is cast being an enforcer, a goon -- by his baseball instructors, his friends, and particularly their own "small,furious" dad, Gordon Mature. Rank gamely lives as much as his part -- until catastrophe strikes, utilizing as its dull device Rank. Avoiding the only path he is able to, Position vanishes. But nearly two decades later he finds that the old, reliable friend -- the only real person to whom he's actually revealed his sins -- has posted a book reflecting Rank’s existence.
