Description

When conditions force her to begin over late in her life, Candida Wilton goes from the wonderful Georgian home in wonderful Suffolk to a two-space, walk-up flat in a run-down building in central London--and starts to put her heart right into a journal. Candida isn't specifically desolate. Therefore, may be the transfer perversity, she wonders, a success check, or is she hitting himself? How can she adapt to this cheap, threatening, but oddly attractive town?
