She’s pulled off her bicycle on the road to her cleaning job at McCarthy’s Resort Lodge by Gansett’s “favorite boy,” Macintosh McCarthy subsequently. He’s in town to simply help his dad with products to market the household resort and doesn't have intention of remaining long. He goes directly into support take care of her young child and nurse her back once again to health, when Macintosh unintentionally directs Maddie traveling within the bars, badly hurting her.
