Description

When her brother is killed in first century Rome, Theodosia Varro gets the household property, heading from poverty and seclusion to great prosperity and a prestigious place in society. Sadly, she lives in a period and a location that refuse women of her course the things she most needs: individual independence and self determination. Just by distinguishing her brother's monster may she feel she is taken by safe, yet her efforts in just the opposite way.
