Description

Arn is a child, promoting ice cream with his brother, hustling for spare change, and moving to rock 'n' roll, when troops get to his neighborhood in Cambodia. But following the troopers drive the whole population in to the country, his life is altered forever. Arn is designated to a work camp and separated from his family: employed in the rice paddies under a blazing sun, he sees another kids, poor from starvation, malaria, or pure fatigue, dying before his eyes. He views criminals marched to a nearby apple grove, not to return.
