With Artie, fresh companions John Roberts and Joel Rosenman, and his hand-picked team, Lang reserved expertise, from Janis Joplin and the Who for the practically unknown Santana and Crosby, Stills and Nash; gained over brokers, marketers, and townspeople; required on fleets of volunteers; constructed a celebration website from the floor up; and, ultimately, produced the landmark social event that defined a generation.
