Forty years back, there clearly was a revolution. People were given forces through tests done upon them against their will. They broke free of the Laboratories and burnt over the property, developing a dangerous new place called the Wildlands. Paula is continuing to grow up within the Natural Place, never realizing a period like a risk with no nearby Wildlands.
