Following a terrible breakup and a short jail term for computer hacking, 42-year-old Steve Levitan has delivered to his hometown of Stewart’s Crossing and obtained a component-time work being an adjunct professor of English at his alma mater, Eastern University. While travelling his gated-community, he becomes friendly together with his next door neighbor, Caroline Kelly, and her golden retriever, Rochester. When Caroline is shot and killed while jogging Rochester, David becomes the dog’s short-term parent. Together, both of these unlikely sleuths function to discover the secret behind Caroline’s demise.
