Description

On a sailboat five miles off the Florida coastline, Grace MacBride, companion in Monkeewrench Application, thwarts an assassination attempt on retired FBI agent John Smith. A couple of hours afterwards, in Minneapolis, a fifteen-year-old woman is found in a vacant lot, her throat slashed. Two teenagers are observed within their house several blocks away, murdered execution-style, later that evening. The following day, the lifeless bodies of three more guys arrive, cruelly killed in exactly the same neighborhood.  As Minneapolis homicide detectives Leo Magozzi and Gino Rolseth find it difficult to link the three offenses, they discover that there has been related killings in different towns round the Usa.
