Paul Kimmage's boyhood ambitions were of cycling glory—wearing the orange jacket, cycling the Tour-De France, and being a national hero. He understood it would not come easy, but he was ready to place in the work—he used his teen-age years biking on average 400 miles-per week. The commitment started initially to pay-off. Being an amateur, he displayed his nation and finished sixth on the planet Championships.
