Katie Collins is in a pit, her affair with her married boss has simply been uncovered and now she is companion-less, unemployed and destitute. Time for her childhood home in the sleepy town of Laxley Heath, she assumes the operating of Tolpuddle Residence during her Grandmais unforeseen stay static in hospital. Coping with Mois several lodgers and another occupants of Laxley Heath, Katie begins to locate a different life-style quite different from the substance lifestyle she'd built-in Birmingham. Using her long-forgotten skills in restoring and cooking Tolpuddle Home to its former beauty, Katie gets drawn into town life without actually understanding how.
