Today, joined by his boyhood buddy Peter McLachlan, who comes in Rome with a dark secret of their own, George reveals evidence suggesting that the ladies of the Purchase have started on the divergent evolutionary route. However they aren't only a new type of individual. They're a much better type, genetically superior, designed with all of the resources essential to make homo-sapiens as extinct whilst the Neanderthals. And, chillingly, George and Peter quickly have cause to worry this community is getting ready to depart its congested underground home.
