Homicide isn't a spectator activity. Chuck Chandler has clogged on several occasion—first like a professional tennis player at Wimbledon, then like a coach at classy tennis groups round the nation. Today at Key West's Previous Racquet Club, Chuck gets associated with the incorrect married woman—the attractive Clare Carras, married to an enigmatic older man—and quickly he's in way over his head. Enter Tommy Sculley, a retired Ny homicide detective who has just joined the Important Thing West pressure, and his youthful inexperienced companion, Daryl Haynes, who works out to be better than he appears.
