In July 1962, within an attempt to maintain a precise history of Presidential decision making in a very charged environment of contradictory views, methods and techniques, John F. Hidden recording systems were installed by Kennedy inside the Cabinet Room and in Oval Office. The end result is just an invaluable historic store containing some 265 hours of recorded material. JFK was elected leader when Civil-Rights concerns were close to the boiling point, and Americans feared a nuclear war.
