Description

An extended-estranged family finds that blood is thicker than water in this shifting and amusing domestic humor. It has been a few years since Nick cast-off his difficult, good, embarrassingly working class parents: gruff, stingy, intense Ken and June, who appeared to return to a primal state-of character following a breakup that both of these were able to blame on Nick. Experiencing the life span of the nation guy that he's designed for herself with impeccably turned-out Astrid and her teen-age daughter, Laura, Nick has stored only the slenderest family link to his brother, Dave, who's stuck with the position of ambassador in a family that's long resolved into cold-war. However Ken chooses the year of his death is here, and hence begins an ill conceived mission to reunite his family before he meets his destiny.
