The guest of honor, a known actor in the Burgtheater, is overdue. They're observed through the critical eye of the author, who narrates a quiet but crazy tirade against these former friends, the majority of whom have now been brought together by Joana, a lady earlier that evening they buried, whilst the other visitors wait impatiently. Before well-known actor comes, getting an end to the night that actually the author couldn't have experienced coming insights on Joana’s existence and destruction are combined with these denunciations.
