Description

Three guys raid the betting casino work from the Ute country and then disappear in to the maze of canyons on the Utah-Arizona boundary. Once the FBI, using its planes and high tech gear, centers around a wounded deputy sheriff just as one suspect, Navajo Tribal Police Sergeant Jim Chee and his long-time friend, retired Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn, start a study of the own. Chee sees a dangerous defect in the theory; Leaphorn sees interesting associations for the uses of the famous Ute bandit-idol. And together, they are swept up in the absolute most perplexing—and deadly—criminal manhunt of the lifestyles.
