Description

Reunited with a grave robber and a corpse, Navajo Tribal Police Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn is attempting to find out the identity of the homicide victim, while Policeman Jim Chee is arresting Smithsonian conservator Carol Highhawk for ransacking the sacred bones of his ancestors. But with every peeled-back coating, it becomes shockingly apparent that both of these instances are inexplicably connected—and that others are seeking Highhawk, with life-threatening motives.
