Description

In the 1940s, the little Pennsylvania town of Destination is quite subdued using their teenagers experiencing struggles in far away Europe. Small Andy Gilbert, mired with his work of providing telegrams getting the news headlines of these missing or killed for action, encounters the coming holidays with frustration and fear. With each new concept he should provide- fulfilled by screaming moms, despair-stricken spouses, and weeping people--he wishes to become listed on the ranks of the designated lifeless. Just one aged lady acknowledges the suffering and pain tormenting Andy--and it's through her knowledge that the stars again may glow for Andy and for a city that desperately wants the wish these stars signify.
