Description

The Petrakis household lives in the little Traditional seaside town of Plaka. Just off the coast may be the small island of Spinalonga, where in actuality the countryis leper colony was previously located—a spot that's haunted four decades of Petrakis ladies. There is Eleni, cut from her partner and two small daughters and delivered to Spinalonga in 1939, and her daughters Maria, discovering pleasure in the daily as she dutifully cares for her dad, and Anna, a wild-child starving for enthusiasm and a lifestyle everywhere but Plaka. And lastly there's Alexis, Eleni's great-granddaughter, browsing modern-day Greece to uncover her family's past.
